ttPodium Worthy Protection

ttThe Tech-Air 10 is a slim, self-contained wearable airbag suit designed to be worn under any Alpinestars Tech-Air Ready or Tech-Air Compatible leather suit, or any third-party leather suit with 4 cm of space around the circumference of the rider’s chest and 2 cm of room around the circumference of the rider’s hips. This additional space for the chest and hips is necessary in order to accommodate the inflation of the airbag in the event of a crash.

ttLightning-Fast Technology

ttThe state-of-the-art Tech-Air 10 System features 12 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers plus 1 gyroscope) to continuously monitor the rider’s position. An algorithm developed closely using MotoGP race data and data from over 2,000 lab-simulated crash scenarios determine when and how the system deploys.

ttThe airbag has a maximum inflation time of up to 40ms (or less, depending on vest size). The impact absorption while wearing the airbag results in a decrease of impact force by up to 95% compared to a passive protector. Inflation time is quick enough to deploy the airbag before the rider's first impact with an obstacle.

ttSet It And Forget It 

ttThe airbag has a battery life good for 24 hours of riding time on a single charge, and an LED displays the system status directly on the belt. Alpinestars includes a micro USB charger for quick recharging.  

ttThe system features Bluetooth connectivity to pair with the Tech-Air App, which displays the system’s operational status, remaining battery life and a detailed analysis of your session. Over-the-air firmware updates are also handled through the app.
